Hello Padawans, Knights and Masters alike,
My name is Navar and I am here on the lookout for any Australian Lightsaber Enthusiasts who stalk these boards, as I wish to begin the community known as JEDI Australia, with VICJedi as the first group to lead the charge. How will I do this, you ask? Simple. For all Victorian Lightsaber Enthusiasts, I wish to meet you at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo!
Date: April 16th- April 18th
Where: Royal Melbourne Showgrounds
Please come to the event with lightsaber in hand and (if at all possible) in full character costume. I will either be outside or inside (depending on the weather) in a blue and black Jedi costume doing spins and strikes. I will get back to you all on which day and what time I will be there.

ALRIGHT! HERE IS THE PLAN, EVERYONE! April 17th (The first day of the event) is the day that I will be at Supanova. Best guess, I will be there at 12 - 1 PM with or without my Padawan. I will be wandering the con or performing a choreographed fight outside. If it is the former, look for a tall young-looking lad with messy hair, a dark blue outer tunic, a blue-grey undertunic, black pants and boots wielding a blue saber. Happy to hear it. If I were you I'd get ready to answer questions about why you do this and where people can get more info. You'll probably also get asked if there's anything goin on (group wise) down there. I would suggest cards with your name, e-mail, and SaberWars.com. People might not reach out to you right away but may find you here and reconnect. You might be able to kick off your own local chapter.

Okay, my report on Supanova:
Shambles. My Padawan could not come and not one person approached me about JEDI Australia, VICJedi or anything. I did have one person chat to me because he was also dressed as a Jedi and two photos were taken, but not much else.
Oh well, there's always Armageddon.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Well there's always next con. Also what works really well for us is outdoor practices. People are generally just drawn to the shiny.

Okay, so my Padawan and I are having a hangout/sleepover at my place, consisting of fight reworking, him learning my Shien form and maybe something else if we have the time. We WILL record most of it and I will have it on my Youtube channel at some point.
I am still interested in forming VICJedi. The hope and determination to do so hasn't escaped me, yet I have been distracted with looking for work.
But know this, my friends... *puts on Morpheus voice* WE ARE STILL HERE!
