I'm going to go against the Norm here and say the Doctor Who Movie/ Back door pilot. Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor. Not a hit in the US but it was over here, and he was a good Doctor. A shame we didn't get a little more of him.

I enjoyed the the Doctor Who American movie.... I still have a tape of it that i recorded back in college. I hate that i can not fine a copy of it on DVD .... hopeing one day it will find itself on an american print...
I thought he had a good portrayal of the doctor .... unsure of the cannonity of Half human comment... I liked his costume... Very Doctorish without being a multicolored "costume"
the story was entertaining, and i really liked the look of the TARDIS. You could deffintly see hte evolution intothe current TARDIS.

I hated the movie. For me, I kinda mentally turned off when the doctor got shot comming out of the TARDIS. I'm sorry, but I just don't see that happening.

Pretty sure I've read a Russell T Davies comment that a new-series script had the Doctor mentioning he'd been half-human for a couple of days in 1999, but the line was cut when they filmed it. I personally liked the half-human angle. Finally we had a reason he dresses like a human (and spends so much time on Earth instead of running around the universe): ethnic pride!
